The Klaxon Klick Electric makes life a smooth journey, there isn’t much to dislike since it’s compact, powerful and easy to use. It attaches to any Manual Wheelchair and is aesthetically very pleasing to look at, don’t you think?
When Klaxon decided on launching the handbike, they wanted to make it suitable for all disabilities. That meant releasing a whole bunch of models that can be quite confusing to understand but ActiveLinx can break it down for you.
There are 4 fully electric handbike models on offer in total (Electric Standard, Monster, Race & Mini) but in this case we’re focusing on the Klick Electric standard model. The Klick Electric has an additional 3 different variations on offer which will be suitable depending on your condition or landscape.
Klick Electric – Standard Wheelchair Handbike Add-on with 25km maximum range.
Klick Electric Power – Improve the maximum range from 25km to 50km on a single charge with its larger battery.
Klick Electric Tetra & Klick Electric Tetra Power– Exactly the same as the Klick Electric and Power versions except it features push pull hand controls. This is suitable for Tetraplegics or those with reduced hand function and allows easy acceleration of braking.
The maximum speed is 15km/hr but this will mean getting over hills at a constant so it’s still very fast. With its on board LCD screen you’ll find a variety of functions including the 5 modes to change the speed.
All the models include a universal mounting kit to attach the Klick Electric to your wheelchair. For those who would like to know, the driving force comes from the 36V 370w electric motor which is what makes this mean machine zoom along.
